Functional Movement Screen

The Functional Movement Screen (FMS) is a series of 7 tests developed to rate and rank movement patterns requiring a balance of mobility and stability. The patterns used provide observable performance of basic, manipulative, and stabilizing movements by placing you in positions where weaknesses, imbalances, asymmetries and limitations become noticeable. The goal of the FMS is to create a baseline of performance from which future progress can be determined.  I use the FMS in addition to other movement specific screening tests with all my clients to help identify challenges, limitations, and faulty movement patterns and then customize future workouts/exercises specifically to each individual's needs.
